Council members include lay, academic and student members.
The University Council is responsible for the governance of the affairs, concerns and property of the University. Massey University's senior leadership team is responsible for university management. This team is led by Vice-Chancellor Jan Thomas.
Massey University Foundation is Massey University's registered charitable trust. Massey Foundation exists to enable excellence at the University. To achieve this, Massey Foundation works with Massey alumni and other supporters, industry, government and charitable organisations. It finds funding for scholarships, research projects and other activities at Massey University. Massey News features the latest university news releases issued by External Relations, along with sections on recent research, events and stories on the achievements and activities of University staff, students and alumni.
Choosing where you will live is one of the most important decisions you will make when you study at Massey. We're here to make sure your accommodation is complementary to your studies. Our campuses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington have great accommodation options. You can choose to live in one of our Halls of Residence, or an apartment or studio unit. We can help you with homestay accommodation too.
Massey University’s innovative Auckland / Ōtehā campus is located on the North Shore of New Zealand’s largest city – Auckland. The campus grounds are peaceful with many native trees and plants, yet it’s only a five minute walk to the expansive Westfield shopping centre with its movie theatres, shops, restaurants and numerous fast food outlets. If you want to travel further, there are buses running regular routes around the North Shore region and into Auckland city.
The Health and Counselling Centre is designed to provide students with a comprehensive range of professional and confidential health services. These services are aimed to keep you active, healthy and able to achieve your goals at University. In an emergency or life threatening situation please contact 111. Each campus has a dedicated team of professionals, including highly skilled counsellors, nurses, doctors and a physiotherapist who are able to assist you. We have skilled practice nurses available full time for appointments and telephone advice.
